About Renaissance Mind®

Renaissance Mind® (part of Dr. Angie’s Place) is a Learning Facility that empowers children to realize their giftedness and overcome the obstacles of learning that accompany the unique thinking styles of Dyslexia, ADD/ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. We do this by providing knowledge and understanding to the adults in their lives, as well as imparting the necessary tools and techniques for the child to live a full, healthy and successful life.

Renaissance Mind® utilizes multiple, non-pharmaceutical techniques that are tactile, fun and unique to each client. The programs involve focusing, comprehension, perception, orientation, math skills, reading and handwriting skills.

The Davis® Method – Answer to Dyslexia and AD(HD)

 

The Davis® Method has achieved impressive results in correcting Dyslexia without medication, while maintaining the innate talents inherent to this style of thinking.

The Davis® Method provides tools to overcome problems with reading, writing, attentive focus and orientation. These methods enable children and adults to recognize and control the mental processes that cause distorted perceptions. Once students can be sure their perceptions are accurate, they can resolve the underlying cause of their learning difficulties through methods that build upon their creative and imaginative strengths.

In 1980, at age 38, Ron Davis overcame his own severe dyslexia. For the first time in his life, he could read and enjoy a book without struggling. After independent clinical research and working with experts in many fields, Ron Davis perfected his program for correcting dyslexia in adults and children. In 1982, Ron Davis and Dr. Fatima Ali, Ph.D, opened the Reading Research Council Dyslexia Correction Center in California, achieving a 97% success rate in helping clients overcome their learning problems.
